On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of photography, P.IN.E.A is invited to Paris by Arno Gisinger, photographer and Professor of Photography at Université Paris 8, to take part in the research seminar Voir l’histoire? (Seeing History?). P.IN.E.A’s co-founders will introduce the editorial focus of the periodical as well as the newly released second print issue. This will be followed by a presentation by Huda Takriti, whose recent work is featured in P.IN.E.A 002, offering a deeper insight into her areas of artistic research. They are joined by Ruth Größwang, Matthias Klos, and Christian Kosmas Mayer, all previously featured in P.IN.E.A, who will introduce their artistic practices. Since 2026, Sophie Thun has been Professor of Photography at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Her work focuses primarily on the techniques and material conditions of analogue photography. The conversation with Nela Eggenberger (P.IN.E.A) offers insights into the artist’s practice, which makes the photographic process itself visible, while reflecting on the conditions under which photographic images are produced and perceived.
