P.IN.E.A Editions publishes works that use photography as a means of reflecting on the medium’s inherent conditions. The selected artists share an interest in the specific qualities of photography and explore its premises and potentials through their work. Our aim is to continuously develop new editions in collaboration with outstanding artists, establishing a distinctive series for collectors of contemporary photography.

INFO

Created in 2026, this work by Sophie Thun condenses key moments of photographic production into a multilayered image. The camera, the print, and the artist’s hand connect the beginning and the end of the photographic process, pointing to the interplay of exposure, development, and the act of making an image visible. At the same time, the mirror, the window, and the door emerge as motifs traditionally understood as metaphors for photographic imagery. The entrance to the darkroom is draped with a curtain bearing the word “REMEMBER,” succinctly evoking ideas of memory, archiving, and witnessing.
